Procedure

From letter of intent to shipment

Eight steps. Each one gates the next — no instrument is issued before the previous one is validated.

01

LOI

The buyer submits a letter of intent. We reply with a complete summary of conditions, pricing, quantities and logistics.

Buyer
02

ICPO + KYC

Once the conditions are agreed, we request the irrevocable corporate purchase order and the know-your-customer file.

Buyer
03

FCO

Upon validation of the file, the Full Corporate Offer is issued and the contractual procedure may begin.

EWT
04

SPA signed

The Sale and Purchase Agreement reflects the FCO terms. Signed by both parties.

Both parties
05

SBLC MT760

Within 3 to 7 days the buyer's bank issues the SBLC with blocked funds in favour of the designated beneficiary.

Buyer's bank
06

Performance Bond

Within 72 hours of SBLC acceptance, the seller's bank issues bank-to-bank a 2% performance bond.

07

First shipment

Loading within 35 to 50 days, documents sent to the buyer. Subsequent shipments every 30 days.

Seller
08

MT103 payment

On arrival at the destination port, after validation of documents and quality inspection: payment within 72 business hours.

Buyer
Load port

Between step 6 and step 7

Nothing leaves the port on trust

The gap between a signed contract and a loaded vessel is where most deals quietly fail. It is also the part nobody writes about, so here it is.

01

Quality is fixed before loading

SGS, or a comparable first-class inspector, establishes quantity and quality at the load port. That certificate is final and binding on both parties — it is not an opinion you can argue with later, and that is precisely its value.

02

Documents travel ahead of the goods

The full set leaves with the shipment: invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, inspection certificate, clean on-board bill of lading, phytosanitary certificate. Your bank sees them before you pay anything.

03

Payment comes last, and only on arrival

MT103 within 72 business hours of arrival at the destination port, after the documents are validated and the quality checked. Not on loading, not on departure — on arrival.

Due diligence and disclosure

Why the producer’s name comes at a stage, not at the first email

Due diligence is legitimate, expected, and it runs both ways — ours on you, yours on the seller. The only thing we control is the order in which it happens, and there is a reason for that order.

01

It goes both ways

We check you: the company, the banking capacity, the reality of the demand. You check the seller: registration, allocation, export history, references, anything you judge necessary. Neither side is asked to take the other on trust. We only ask that the checks happen in an order that keeps the chain alive.

02

Being bypassed is not the concern

We hold a contract with the producing group and we represent it. A buyer going around us would gain nothing, and would be approaching a seller with no reason to answer. So no — that is not why identities are held back, and we would rather say so plainly.

03

The real reason: the producer is under siege

Speculators after a price to shop around. The merely curious. People who are not serious. People who are serious but have a fake buyer at the far end of their own chain. And increasingly, organised groups whose only aim is to extract documents — an FCO, a draft contract, a bank reference — in order to defraud someone else with them. A mill that answers everyone ends up answering no one. That is exactly what has happened across this market.

04

Then you get everything, before you sign anything

Once the file is clear — and while no money has changed hands — we hand you the seller’s full sheet. Necessarily, since the seller is who you will pay directly. From there you have a wide window to run every check you want and to ask for anything you need. The contracts are signed after that, not before.

The order matters

Disclosure comes before signature, and signature comes before any banking operation. No payment is ever made against a document you have not been able to verify. If a counterparty anywhere in this market asks you to reverse that order, that is the moment to stop.

Document set

Six documents per shipment.

The full set is transmitted to the buyer for every loading. Payment is triggered on their validation, after quality control at destination.

01Electronic Sales Invoice for Export (Nota Fiscal Eletronica - NFe)
02Packing List
03Certificate of Origin
04SGS Certificate (or similar first-class independent inspector)
05Bill of Lading (full set, clean on board)
06Phytosanitary Certificate

Documents

Read it before you write to us

Everything a buyer needs to judge the offer, downloadable without an account and without asking anyone. Nothing here names the producer — that comes later, and under NDA.

The bank on the other side

HSBC United States

We do not ask you to send an instrument to a bank nobody can check. That single fact is why most of our files clear internal approval.
